Sustainability and sustainable development PR

Sustainable Development has been defined as "development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".

All too often it is confused with purely environmental issues and the property sector still has much hard work ahead if it is to fully address the "three pillars of sustainability": environmental, economic and social.

Revolution Public Relations can boast unique experience in achieving international recognition of client's achievements in the area of sustainable development.

In 2003 Revolution Public Relation's Andrew Barber successfully applied for the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development on behalf of the Greenham Common Trust for its sustainable regeneration of New Greenham Park, the 150-acre business park on the site of the former RAF Greenham Common airbase in Berkshire. Receiving this prestigious international award remains a unique achievement in the commercial property sector and it was bestowed upon the Trust for a second time in 2008. Once again Andrew led the application process.
